Introducing our special guest, Gillian Stapleton! This time around, we are extra fortunate as Gillian graces our podcast in a new capacity. Formerly the CEO of Direct Selling Australia, Gillian is now here to share her inspiring journey beyond that position. Both of us share a strong passion for empowering women in business and are committed to advancing a lifelong focus on health and wellbeing. Whether it’s running, swimming, biking, walking, or any other activity, we believe in taking steps to stay healthy and vibrant.
Gillian’s infectious personality shines both onstage and in the boardroom. She is goal-driven and a risk-taker, proving this when she completed her first marathon at the age of 49. Since that milestone, she has accomplished an impressive 12 marathons to date and even holds the prestigious World Majors Marathon medal. Gillian has captured her incredible journey and the valuable lessons learned from her experiences in her book titled “Running in Circles,” which draws insightful parallels to the world Direct Selling.
Her career started as a teacher in the UK before she ventured into a home-based direct selling business, which allowed her at the same time to raise her two children. Gillian’s hard work and dedication propelled her to the top of that business, and eventually, she was offered a corporate role in Australia. Known for her ability to foster nurturing and inclusive communities, Gillian has earned a reputation for increasing profitability wherever she goes.
